Let me start with the CONs so buyers are aware.
1. This does not currently utilize any sort of Annke app, nor does it use the Tuya smart camera platform like many others. The benefit to Tuya was regardless of the camera maker, the OS/platform let me add multiple branded cameras/devices to one central app. Now I need to sign up for yet another app. Boo.
2. This is NOT free for "AI detection" of bird species, it's about $3/mo or $5/mo for premium features. NO THANKS
3. There are pop-ups every time I load the app trying to get you to subscribe to the premium. Everyone hates pop-up ads, and while kids maybe don't notice because they're swarmed with them on YT or other streaming services or apps, I despise it. I paid for something already, quit trying to upsell or promote even more so.
4. Color is over-saturated at times. Viewing a cardinal was washed out in the shadows but bleeding over into the background in the direct sunlight. The grass in the background makes my yard look awesome and green, but because of color bleeding, takes away from the clarity of the video.

Now that the big negatives are out of the way, the PROs are like the other reviewer, Louis says,
1. Sturdy construction and well-built. I like that the top swivels up to easily refill.
2. Birds don't seem to mind the camera during the day, which is nice. I think the color helps to draw them in so that was a nice touch.
3. I actually prefer the solar panel being detachable and separate. Where we have the feeder is on a fence post (vinyl, so no squirrels) but because of the shade of how the house falls in the afternoon, I moved the SP further south on the fence so catch more sun. We have no neighbors behind us.
4. video playback is very smooth, I"m impressed how well it works and even with the lower bandwidth it shows the camera is using. Quite nice.
5. Though I've neglected to install a microSD card initially, it does give you 2-day rolling recordings of birds so you can go back through the day to review.
6. My wife loves all the attention the feeder gets with our garden, so it made a very lovely Mothers Day gift.
7. The price was definitely right as others sold on Amazon (boo) were far more money. I've been buying direct from Annke which ships just as fast and very well packaged! Nicely done.

Where Annke might improve:
- Find another feeder of the same quality, but either utilize your own app to somehow integrate this so I only need 1 viewing platform, or somehow link it so that I can view on 1. IDK, easier said than done, right?

the app and the camera are excellent
the bird feeder construction is on point

3 issues that should be addressed.
1. The mount that the camera has two thumb screws that you need to remove if you want to remove at night... The Mount should a be in the form of quick detach lever / slide.
2. The solar panel mount you have as a separate piece. That too is an issue if you want to remove the unit at night. It should be mounted to the feeder itself to make it a one-piece unit. I took the current solar mount that it came with and used E8000 glue and mount it to the top of the feeder on the hanging part of the feeder. That work around is SOLID.
3. The app / AI data of the birds is not free. I was under the impression that it was and that only that would cost money would be the Cloud Storage if I wanted to use it.
